The FSM shows it, floor shift, column shift both types of 3 speeds. so 70 B body really does not cut it for an application. http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=109
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Thanks John, but that is a '71.
The B-body floor pans changed from '70 to '71 & the '70 unit also has the reverse lockout lever. Yes I know , just a reference photo of something that went thru my head. I have only ever seen an E body with a 3 speed even though they were standard equipment. Paging Scott Smith , paging Scott Smith , he must have something ?
