Here is a couple of pictures of where my new "Race Car" is starting from.

I actually bought it as you see it. I also have a hardtop that I will use for parts.

Plan is basic bracket car, 10 point cage 440 auto 8-3/4 w/ 9" slicks minimum everthing and on the cheap, But built well.

I will upgrade as needed to go faster.

I wish i have more people around me that could guide me and teach me things like welding. I love to work on cars but I do not know how to do a lot of things the right way.

you may want to consider mini tubbing while you are this point...do it in steel and make it look stock..

relocate the spring shackles and give yourself some room so when you are aready for the bigger tires the job has been already done...

I actually like the hardtop better, but I am very happy to know there are post fans out there

StrongBad,
I learned by doing, just jump in. welding and fabricating are not that difficult. it does take some tools though.

Smokinwoody,
I have enough rebuilding for now, I dont want to cut it up anymore. I expect to race it for a few months before I build the real motor and will need more tire. When I do it will probably get ladder bars w/ coilovers and a new front Suspension

See I am already spending next years allowance too.
