There are 2 versions of the brodix head, here is the summary I just copied from the Tech archives as written by Ryan J.

"Brodix B1-BA: Cast Aluminum. 59*. Closed chambers. Uses stock intake, Stock rockers, stock headers. Fully ported will flow ~300/220 cfm. More $ than E heads or W-2. Not very popular most likely due to cost. Overall a good head that is better than an Edelbrock, but no greater than W-2.

Brodix B1-BA-MC: Cast Aluminum. 59* Closed chambers. The MC stands for Moved centerline, and is designed for a bore larger than 4.10" Offset race rockers required."

Hope that helps.

All stock LA intakes work. You can if you like use small block chevy rockers with studs and guide plates and oil thru the pushrods,or use the Brodix blocks and stock shaft rockers. You will need to make china wall spacers or double end gaskets.

As an owner of a pair, that are ported by a professional shop, I would suggest moving on to something else. There are a better choices out there.

I assume that you have a 59° tall deck block you're using?

In my opinion there are a lot of better heads out there then the b1-ba. I would even venture to say a fully ported set of Edelbrocks may even be better/as good as a set of fully ported b1-ba heads.

The MC stuff is suppose to be better, but I haven't ever heard of or seen any out there that run all that great.

Here's an old post with some info...

As soon as I get a hold of dude I will let u know. When I blew my engine I wanted something than indy heads so I talk to ryanj about the brodix heads and he talked me into W heads. But there's a guy at the track running brodix heads and 3.79 crank I've seen 10.20 but heard it goes 9.70s. Grudge racers.
