What was the horse power hp 426 wedge in 1965 With high performance application on top id pad? Are they all marked hp?? is there a differance if there not marked? Me thanks

It would be easier to keep track of your questions and answers if you kept them all to one post instead of starting a new one everytime. Seeing as they all have to do with the same engine and topic.

1965 426 street wedge = 365 HP .
And as mentioned, no need to start new posts asking the same questions.

Any factory installed 426 Street Wedge I've seen was stamped as follows:

1964 = V 42 HP (and an assembly date below it)
1965 = A 426 HP (and an assembly date below it)
1966 = B 426 HP (and an assembly date below it) *This year they are a pretty rare piece

All of these were factory rated at 365 horse power and were basically just an over bored 413, same heads, exhaust manifolds, crank, intake, carb size, etc. with some dress up parts like chrome valve covers and air cleaner and a tach drive distributor (that wasn't even connected to a tach). Some industrial or marine applications may not have had the HP stamping.

What Scott said except the overbored 413 part.You can bore a 413 to 426 the same as a 426 to 440.
