I'm going to be putting a 518 behind a 440 in my 72 truck. My truck is column shift, and I know the ultrabell doesn't have provisions for the linkage. What's the best way to adapt the linkage? I don't really want to go to a floor shifter, but I will as a last resort. Thanks!

Make a bracket and screw it on the bellhousing. That's what I'm doing on my '77 440 truck

Just did this two days ago. Used a long starter bolt and mounted the bracket I made to the backside of the starter.
