Finally got around to digging mine out of the trunk (evicted some rodent that had moved in too.
Here is the mast. Looks like just shy of 35 1/2" long.

I thought the 70 had the solid t-style jack...maybe they used both?

Dad bought the car new in '69, and this is the one that came with it, so I'm guessing both...
