Roger and Frank have had color matches done to original samples over the years. In thier marketing efforts they offer several shades according to which year engine that particular shade came from. They came up with Race hemi Orange, early Street Hemi Orange, and Later Street Hemi Orange.
Having said that based on the engines and original painted parts I've seen over the years I believe there were only two colors from the factory. I think what Frank & Roger were seeing were simply variables in mixes from one batch to the next or other environmental differences causing subtle shading differences.
My take on it is simply this: 1962-1968 = If it was a performance Mopar engine painted orange from the factory it was "Race Hemi Orange" (a pale Pumkin Orange color)
If it was a performance engine painted orange after 1968 it was Street Hemi Orange (the more familiar Reddish Orange)
So, if you order Frank & Rogers Race hemi Orange you should be in business, it's the best match I've seen for color and gloss.
