62-65 B Body Firewall insulation differences / research #2285206

There were 2 different style firewall pads used on 62-65 B bodies. The only difference, well, only major difference, is where the larger piece goes over the steering column. The ONLY difference I can think of is 62-64 used one shape of steering column to firewall plate and 65 used a larger one year only shape plate.

Can someone with a 65 Coronet or Satellite share a picture of the black cardboard insulation and show how it fits around the steering column.

In the pictures below I'm THINKING the top one is 65 only and the bottom is 62-64.

You were right. Your top picture is for a 65.

These pictures are from my un-restored 65 coronet 500.
