Can someone recommend an ignition box that has start delay. I don't know what is out there, and didnt want to spend 500 buck really. I have an FBO box and that is fine (except for starting hot). Need to find a way to get start delay and wanted it to be automatic so I can have wife and or daughter drive it without having hard to start issue.

I ain't sure if this is what you are looking for or if this would work for what you want but we had a hot start prob on the stock car & wiring in a momentary NC contact switch to the ign took care of it. (1) press the button (2) get it cranking (3) release the button while cranking. prob solved.

Are you asking about a start retard? Is it slow cranking when the temp. is in the normal range?

Yes. "Start Retard" to back off the timing at startup. I have a kill button off the tach to get it spinning. I would prefer an automatic solution so I dont need to explain how to get it going..

Looks like would need to get higher end ignition box to gain this feature. Seems like there has been some newer Mopar type boxes recently with rpm limiters, but bigger hole in the market is with start retard in a box for around $200.
