I always wondered, what is the advantage to a belt drive oil pump? Also is their a pre-filter on that line before going to the pump?

Cool! Keep us posted on how it runs. You have a part number for the T&D rockers? I looked on their website and they don't list them yet. Also do you recall the crank to cam centerline dimension? Wondering how close it is to an LA motor. Part # 8360 list for 2916.00

Yes. They are very well built. I should've just bought these before I wasted all the time I did trying to make my own. Awesome engine! Do you have any pics of the T&D stuff on the heads or otherwise?

Steff, did T and D improve the maximum valve lift or is it still limited to .680 or so?

MoparMitch, yes, I do have pics. I will get them posted later.
Adrielp, no, the ratio is stock. They are designed as "bolt-on". The Jesel System is your only option for more ratio and it's the best way to go. To get more ratio with a common shaft rocker assy, the shafts need to move and even then, it is limiting.
WO23Coronet, no build thread this time around. It is basically the same shortblock I built 4 years ago, with new heads, rockers, cam....

Might be a silly question but do you have any idea how much taller it is at the carb base then a LA with a Indy 360-1 intake? Can a person mill the carb base down an 1" or 2"? Or would it hurt performance to much? It will be a Procharged set-up if I go this way, I was thinking of possibly doing a Gen3 when/if my R3/Indy combo goes pop. I want to keep a flat hood on my Dart so that's why I ask. No clue how they compare. You can cut the plenum shorter. I dont think the plenum volume means much with forced induction. I do know that NA, the more I made the plenum larger, that faster it went down the track. I'm going to add spacer to see where it tops out at, then look at making the plenum larger by modifying the intake, instead of using spacers.
