So it's getting to the point where the Charger will be going back under the knife (sawzall...paint gun) to have its long-delayed resto completed.

I've been going back and forth in my mind trying to figure out the best way to make the car an easy (easier) to live with driver and reduce any of the small number of headaches these more...primitive...cars tend to pose.

To that end, I want to make the car pretty close to stock...I'm more interested in cruising than racing and I want to keep it looking stock.

I've been looking at the aftermarket TBI kits out there, and they look to be fairly easy to install, relatively low maintenance, and, when coupled with some sort of electronic ignition, pretty reliable.

So what say you, Moparts? What would be your recommendation for a pretty stock '70 U code Charger R/T with a 4-speed?

1970 Dodge Charger R/T Hemi Orange U-code 4-speed
1971 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V-12 4-speed 2+2 Signal Red.

Fitech is hard to beat

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

As a fellow owner of a 70 U code Charger: do it.

I've been running the FItech EFI with a tanks Inc/Walbro combo, and it's one of the best mods (if not THE best) I've ever done to it.

It's easily reversible if you change your mind later, but after getting spoiled to the perks and reliability of EFI, I don't know why you would.

Go for it.
