what's the biggest tire you have on your 66-70 b-body...Looking at a 255/50/17 on a 17X7 with 4.25 backspaced rim.. It's 27" in diameter and section width of 10.03"..Think it will fit?

I just put a 255/45/18 on the front of my '68 RR and it fits with no problem.

Backspacing is 4.75" and I could have probably gone to 4.5" as there's a minor issue with rubbing at full lock.

I was told a 275 would fit with no problem but decided to go with the 255s instead.

i have 255/60/15s on all four. i have my ride height set at 25 1/2inch from ground to wheel well. 4.5 in backspace. this puts the tire just inside the wheel well. if i raised my ride height to expose the tire i can put 275/60s. if not they rub when wheel is turned.

I just installed 225/60/15 on 15 X 7 wheels with 4" backspacing.. Perfect..

Back wheels are 15 X 8 with 5 1/4" backspace with 245/60/15...
