Go ahead and laff, I know it ain't no Cuda or Road Runner, But it was produced to catch both.
Currently I have stripped my car for frame up resto. So at the moment, You probley couldn't tell what it is. I need to do some rust through work in the trunk and rear quarters, But living so close to Az, I was able to find a clean, rust free rear Quarter panel. I just need a few patches from this, but I couldn't buy just a few patches, Anyway, here is my car in its current shape,,

the thing on the hood is a warning sign, STOP HIGHWAY PATROL, And yes I have all the goodies, Radio, Lights, Siren, All except that thing on the hood, But I have a source for one, (A repo) The history,, Minn. Highway Patrol, 440HP special order car. Used as interceptor to catch other mopars and other muscle cars of its time. Retired in 75, with 74K miles, Sold and parked in somebody's back yard, 440HP and 727HD had been removed, everything else, intact,, I bought it in 99,, Since I bought it, I have found a 1970 440hp block and a complete 1970 440..
A complete rust free rear clip to repair the rust through in trunk floor and rear fenders.
I completely stripped the car, and it's ready for the rust repair, prep and painting.

I believe Mother's term was "Pursuit". When I was about 18 I knew a guy who had a 70 Fury 2 dr, it had a wicked 440 in it, had the two bulges on the hood with 440 emblems on each, it was supposed to be a police pursuit car his father (retired pd)picked up, it had a blue interior and rubber mats/flooring I remember, thought the speedo said 150, but pic above show's 140 - 27 years ago or so... have pics of it somewhere. This was probably around 1981-2,I'll try and dig them up. Hey Colin - how's things ?

Just had to chime in. Absolutely love it! I've been tossing around the idea of building a clone car of my '70 4dr hardtop. Having seen what your finished product will look like I think I'll consider it some more. Is it just me or are the big C's actually becoming rarer than any other Mopar? I NEVER see them anywhere in my area.
