So I finished pulling down the old 383 today. Camshaft has manufacturer's number 856430 on it. This seems to be in the .47-.480 range, had a bit of a lumpy idle, low vacuum (either cam-related or the fact it's just a bit on the clapped out side) laugh2 Cam was installed straight up with a double roller.

Anyway, wondering if the great minds / libraries here can shed some light just so I know what I have. I struck out on google.

If the cam went in when the motor was built, (bearings are circa '98) this may take some digging. Hydraulic single-bolt cam which actually looks quite good, all lobes within a few thou.

Can ya help a shoozy out?

Old, tired, and sometimes broke down. Me, not my car...
