I am aware of a barn find 1971 Challenger RT 340 4 speed car. Is any information available regarding breakdown of production numbers for automatic vs manual transmission? Is there any information regarding production numbers based off of exterior color?

Here's the numbers from Galens book. 3spd, 34. 4spd, 313. Auto, 731. There are no true numbers for color that I am aware of.

There are percentages of the number of cars in certain colors. What color is it?

Thanks Mastershake. After looking at the 1971 paint chart, I would agree that the car is GK6.

That is a beautiful RT. I would love to have a sexy E body. I haven't seen the barn find RT in person, but I believe that it does not have a shaker. I'm hoping to see the car up close and personal some day.

My car will soon be ready for paint. I'm looking forward to starting the assembly process.

I have a VHS copy of the 1985 Mopar Nationals in Ann Arbor/Chelsea/Milan MI. At one point, there is a young guy named "Jeff" who is being interviewed about his car....a 1971 Challenger R/T 340 (auto) (IIRC)... Top Banana, with black vinyl top. He goes on to say to the interviewer that he was the second owner, and he only paid $400 for the car, and one of 700 built something or other! He is Jeff Johnson, who puts on the Mopar Expo's every year in Columbus Ohio.
