Hi
I'm doing this maxi clone for a friend, how's it look so far? was a 318 ac car so we're using the factory fan shroud and my buddy Bob at Glen Ray did the radiator, had to patch the ac holes on the firewall and put in a regular heater, anyway what is the correct position of the heater hose brackets? tall ones toward the battery or towards the master cyl. I've seen them both ways, also does the negative battery cable go the the exhaust manifold stud? I've seen some guys run it to the wp housing which doesn't look right
thanks
Russ

Here are a few shots of a 63 that might help. If you need repro fuelfilters I can help you. They aren't 100% exact but at least they are plastic and not steel.

No heater hoses yet but a nicely detailed example of what a 63 should look like. This one has 3447 carbs.

I've got a bunch of pic's of Doug's car I've sold him a few parts for his project, what a nice guy, what I'm asking is , do the tall hose brackets go to the rear near the master or towards the front by the battery , in your pics one car has them one way and the other has them the other way, did they lift the hoses up to get over the master or lift them up by the battery to get an angle to connect to the motor? this is a 63 plymouth but we have a real 64 intake and carbs, 63 heads tho. my friend lucked out big time , we bought the motor here on Moparts last fall. going to be a fun street car, I feel safer with the steel fuel filters, thanks for your help in advance

Sorry, I should have cleared that up. The white car shows the correct positions based on other originals I've seen. This is a 62 car, has them the same way, tall in the rear for brake MC clearance.

I wouldn't doubt them being either way from the factory, but Mikes example is definately the most reliable reference pic posted so far.

To hijack this post some, I have to say that I want a cross ram in my next car. I know there are better performance options, but I think the cross ram looks so mean, more so thatn the 6-bbl. Nice looking cars here.
