I just order a custom United 26 footer from Bob Jones RV here in Pa and should be picking it up hopefully by late March. I am picking it up in Indiana to save a few bucks. I have 2 acres of hilly property so I couldn't go bigger plus I haul with a class A motorhome on long weekends. Check out United Trailers on their website.

Hello Dracula. I see your from NY. Have you heard of Mike olsefski. He may be able to help you. Also, have you raced at skyview? Your car and trailer look familiar. They used to have a pretty good program up there. Been rough the last couple years. http://www.mikeolsefskisautoaccessories.com

I know a sales guy (Ed Stevens) at Advantage Trailers in Chicago, they build custom trailers for bikes and cars. No idea if their prices are in line with Becker or Millenium though. They're currently at the Chicago motorcycle show displaying some of their builds.

I understand the escape door makes it easier to get out but why not get a winch? You can winch the car in and out and not have to worry about being inside of it. The escape door is just something else to have problems and is another possible entry point for thieves.

Especially when it starts to rain....I only winch the car when its broken.

I kicked around getting the escape door but most of my car are to low to clear the fenders anyway and I'm not shoemakering lift boards on the floor. I climb out of the wind up window in my black duster and the other two I will winch in. I kinda feel that a door in the middle of a car trailer kinda weakens it but that's my thinking.

My GTX is right on the edge of being too low to have a side door, and no way the Road Runner will clear. I almost always winch the car in. It's just easier on the clutch also.

http://www.usacargotrailersales.com/options/8-85-option-pricing.htmlTry these guys. Escape door $350. A people on YB had good things to say about them. I don't think they do the living quarters but it may be cheaper to buy the shell you want and do a sleeping quarters yourself.

I'd say 25K buys you a newer used Vintage or Continental Cargo, or an older ATC, etc. I bought a used trailer awhile back and went through that dilemma. Buy a newer lower/midline trailer or an older high line. I went with the latter and picked up an older ATC all aluminum trailer with LQ's. Haven't regretted it, as the higher line trailers build quality is far superior.

Off topic but if you do have a winch in your trailer and have the front button or wired remote look into one of these. Several guys on Yellowbullet recommended this and I love it. At the touch of a button you can run your winch from anywhere around the trailer. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wireless-Winch-Remote-Control
