Did it come off the engine in question? I know that the 6pak bottom ends are externally balanced, so I am assuming that converter would work. I wouldn't think that they would have used a high stall converter in a motor home though. Does it have any markings or numbers on it?

Some steel crank truck motors in those years had the big "six pack" rods but they had lower compression pistons so the were internally balance with a std balanced thin harmonic balancer. Do you have acces to it?

Not a torque converter expert, but the ring gear dimension looks wider than a normal 12" converter. That one may be an 11", which may have a higher stall? Doesn't seem right for a motor home application though. Different externally balanced torque converters will have different weights (eg. 360 vs 440). I think TCS Products has a page with the dimensions of certain weights and their application.
