I'll also be watching the live feed. Last year it got so packed they ended up closing the gates to the track on Saturday, right?

this is the car I will be with. Runs 7.50's with no power adders. I think he's a bit slow for the field but it'll be fun. What's the combo?

From what I've heard about the crowd there, I'll stay home. I have no desire to park miles down the road (literally), walk all the way to the gate and then get told they aren't letting anymore people in. Not to mention the down time b/t races and the weather that seems to plague Duck's races. I can see all the fast mustangs I want at my local tracks anyway.

Your local track has 3 second radial cars, on a routine basis?

Gone the last three years, never had any rain delays in the spring. Action packed with all the radial classes running, Sunday is the first day you have big pauses in action and only in latter rounds. They closed the gate once on a Saturday night because there were 40,000 people there already, and if you bought a weekend pass the two days before you could still get in. I live next to Cecil and go to yellowbullet race for the weekend and it doesn't come close to this for fast cars. Hands down the best races all year.

Your local track has 3 second radial cars, on a routine basis? 3s? Not normally, but there are some of the fastest small tire cars in the country around here. The 3 sec cars you speak of...Stevie Fast, frequents tracks around here testing and running shootouts. There's a 28/275 race w/ heavy hitters atleast every other weekend around here. I'm sure the racing is great and all, but dealing w/ the crowd kills it for me. I have friends that go every year, some as spectators, some to race. Last fall they all called it the mustang nationals. Fast or not, I need some variety to keep me interested. Especially when the cars are so fast and have so much money invested that it's hard for the typical racer to relate anymore.

Anybody know if Marty Robertson has his Cuda ready for the race. When I spoke to him at No Mercy he said he would have it ready for February at this race.

Open comp and 6.0 index have the best variety of cars. There certainly is not a shortage of Mustangs there!! I usually go when Im off, which be only Friday this go round. My drive is only 80 miles, shorter than yours by far, so its easier for me to put up with crowds and walking!!
