Yes...I know its been discussed numerous times on here...but I cant find specific info for what Im needing answered.
Is the big Ford bearing that much better vs a green bearing for a street/strip car? Id like to stay with the green for ease of rear disc options, but its not a deal killer.
Also, anybody have part numbers for a big ford disc conversion? Rotors, bracket, etc.
Thanks
I know Doc has rear kits, but like to not spend that kind of coin. I may just keep the stock drums.

There are more options available for the big Ford than any other one out there. It's probably the "small block Chevy" of the housing ends. Do you already have the Mopar ends on your housing? If you do then just go to the Wilwood site and pick your options Or you can go to the Speedway Motors site and they have many options for bolt on or weld on kits. Gus

Im not going the kit route. Looks much cheaper to source the parts individually.
Building a 60 and havent bought ends yet.

If you are wanting cheap. Then the Grd Cherokee brakes are probably the way to go.

I have 4" and 4&1/2" in the works & funny you mentioned Cherokee as I coulda swore I saw that on the one pair. Not sure what calipers but they will be Mopar likely 76 dart single piston 2.75" ones. Good point about the greens as I never thought of that (if they would be better in that app).

Someone ask for a 4 piston set-up? That's using a 14" viper rotor on a 9.25 in a Dakota. Same 6-lug bolt pattern as viper. No parking brake yet but I may adapt it to include one. Caliper is the front caliper from an LX SRT-8. I intend to adapt this to a 8.75 axle for my Cuda when the time comes, but I hear all this talk about axle bearings and I realize I need to learn more about that first. The 9.25 and 8.25 from the Dakotas has the bearing pressed into the axle tube. Those calipers can be found fairly easy. For rotors you can go from used take offs from the lx cars for dirt cheap, or you could spend $400 per rotor for a top of the line piece. Make your own bracket and you could put a set up together for fairly cheap. However I'm doing a few sets of these and target selling them for ~$750. But that's with brand new rotors, all brake lines/fittings, calipers, and professionally machined brackets
