Very sharp looking cars. Have loved them since I first laid eyes on them. Right up there with an Avanti in my book. (not everybody's taste) Good luck with the build

So, what happened to the original valve covers? I always thought they looked good.

I have them. I tried polishing them but noticed the castings, though extremely strong, are also extremely ROUGH!
I tossed on the MP valve covers for now while I work on the Jensen covers...

Tasty!!!

What brand of headers are those???

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.

They are Delta Motorsports S&S headers made specifically for Interceptors. They actually fit pretty good....

Until I found out only ONE muffler showed up so far.

LOL
I hear the muffler comes in Monday or Tuesday, we'll see!
I've got my FBO ignition.... all my exhaust parts.... just gotta fire up the welder!

I'm taking it to my buddy's shop to do the exhaust, he has a couple of hoists, and I sure don't!

I figured I better update!
My second muffler came in around Christmas. Unbelievable.

Anywho'''sse....

It is now running with Delta Motorsport headers, mandrel bent 2 1/2" exhaust out the rear, two Walker 6" diameter 20" long turbo mufflers, and two Dynomax Bullets acting as resonators in the tips.
I'm not in love with the LOOKS of the tips, but in person the car sounds better than I hoped for!

Here is a video- the carbs are out of the box untouched, I still need to swap out the stock ignition- I bought an FBO setup, and I need to tune the car, but it runs OK so far.....

So what was the decision on the exhaust tips?

I had to run the ones I'm not in love with, but Megajoltman gave me a link to some I prefer much more, I'm guessing I'll swap them out at a later date, I have my hands full with other stuff for now....
It actually sounds good in person, the tips I get will be baffled for sure, I like the 4 muffler sound. A bit of a deep bass drone at idle, but otherwise pretty good.

GOOD!
Then I won't comment on your Camaros looks either....

It actually sounds much better with the FBO ignition installed. I've never used an FBO setup, but I'm actually truly impressed by something I bought for once!
Pics and videos to come hopefully... lol

BTW- the Trac-Loc or Power-loc or whatever it is works well. I tried it!

I finally remembered to take a picture of this Interceptor that is being worked on at a customer of mine's shop.

I think he said this are tips bought from some place that sells repro Interceptor stuff.

Yes it is British...
