Going from Edlebrock carb with a heat insulator gasket that worked wonders.
Any reason to use the insulator with the FiTech throttle body?

I guess you used the heat insulator to prevent fuel boil and vapor lock with the carb.

The FI setup will have pressurized fuel and fuel boil should not be an issue. The insulator should not be needed with FI... though it would not hurt.

iagree, and typical efi injectors begin to have issues at higher temps/heat soak, under certain conditions like slant six port injectors, right next to the exhaust so IMO anything that reduces op temps, should be a plus.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

On top of what has already been mentioned, these units have the electronics built into the throttle body if I'm not mistaken. Lowering the amount of heat transfer to the electronics sure as heck can't hurt.

All good points, I'll go ahead and reuse the insulator.

Thx for the input
