BDW OP master Joined: May 2005 Posts: 4,727 Florida	Going from Edlebrock carb with a heat insulator gasket that worked wonders. Any reason to use the insulator with the FiTech throttle body?

ahy master A Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 7,664 IN	I guess you used the heat insulator to prevent fuel boil and vapor lock with the carb. The FI setup will have pressurized fuel and fuel boil should not be an issue. The insulator should not be needed with FI... though it would not hurt.

J Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 22,696 Bitopia	, and typical efi injectors begin to have issues at higher temps/heat soak, under certain conditions like slant six port injectors, right next to the exhaust so IMO anything that reduces op temps, should be a plus. Mopar73340 enthusiast M Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 319 Northern Va	On top of what has already been mentioned, these units have the electronics built into the throttle body if I'm not mistaken. Lowering the amount of heat transfer to the electronics sure as heck can't hurt.
