The torque shaft bracket on the outside frame rail is loose and out of alignment. The clutch pedal still works ok, but I'm afraid of tearing up the bushings. Is this bracket supposed to be spot welded to the frame?
Thanks
Howard

The bracket which holds the bellcrank stud is welded to the inner fenderwell. There is a hole in the inner fenderwell for the ballstud, so it's pretty easy to line up.

One hole on this bracket is for the ballstud, you weld the bracket to the inner fenderwell through the other two holes.

Oh, this if for 67-on A body. Not sure, but I think the pre-67 A body bracket was a bolt on piece. Call Brewers, they will help.

Thanks Bob, that is the bracket I have. I pushed it back in the correct position and will have my neighbor weld it on the 2 holes. I may take it apart to see if the bushings and seals need replaced.I used Brewers before to get a trans rebuild kit and was quite pleased with it and their service. Thanks again
