Unless its a race car, don't waste the time and effort. If the windows ever fog up in a freak rain shower or on a cool night, you'll be thankful you left the heater in. Been there, done that !!!

About 12.5 lbs...that is what mine weighed out of a 1968 Super Bee with the cables still attached.

Okay, good enough for me. No sense hacking it up for that little bit of weight savings,
and I get to keep my vents!

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

Plus the coolant and hoses under the hood. If you do remove there will be a giant hole from the windshield cowl vent that will need plugging.

Back in the day B-bodies were offered in some areas with "heater delete" and they made a duct like the left side to put in place of the heater. I was fortunate enough to have bought one back around '78 but by then they had discontinued the "grill". Here are some pics of the duct ... Don't ask, I sold it long ago.

Weighed a 68 B-body heater box today it is 22 lbs. That 12 lb number sounded low.
