any idea what stud kit the Harland sharp rocker kit for victor head takes or if there is one available? Directions say to use your existing bolts, I have none.

Call ARP, they'll know exactly what you need.

I would mock up the rocker shafts on the heads and use a dial caliper to determine each hole depth from the hold downs and go from there. I have Harland Sharps 1.6 on my Eddy Victor M.W. heads and I'm almost positive I used several different lengths ARP 3/8 studs to mount them shruggy Make sure you have at least 3/8 thread engagement on the stud in the head, I bottomed mine out and then use a harden 3/8 washer on the hold downs between the nut and the hold downs up

Figure out what length you need and then buy them from Summit. I don't know of anyone makes a stud kit with ARP hardware. Hughes sells rocker arm stud kits but I don't think they use ARP parts.

am going thru the same issue. the hughes stud kit does use ARP hardware. I feel the thread engagement is inadequate. for maximum stud strength thread engagement must be at least stud diameter. these victor heads have had problems with splitting the stands. hughes offers an upgrade on rocker stand bolts where they lengthen the helicoil inserts in the head. problem is the studs don't allow for the deeper thread engagement. I have talked to ARP to see if they will offer studs with the longer threads, they said they have received request for this but had no plans to actually make some. don't have a solution yet

No problem at all. I have M.E.Martin fasteners by me and also Macho tool that carry Grade 8 studs so maybe check in your area.

This is the one Trick flow lists. I think it is ARP hardware, I'll have to look in the garage. I ordered these for the Trickflow heads with the recommended HS rockers, but have not started putting that engine together yet.

Sorry, Just noticed you said Victor head, not trick flow..

I'll have to look at what I ordered for the Victor heads, I think the two (per side, 4 total) long studs were either 3-1/4" or 3-1/2", and I know the three short (per side) studs were 3" because that is the one I broke (Dorman Grade 8) when summit did not list the 3" long ARP studs. I think these were on the longer side to make installing the shafts easier, but may need a taller valve cover.

I just looked at the Trick flow kit, and all the studs are 2-1/2" long, no short/long, but they changed the location of the shaft oiling hole in their heads.

I also just recalled that I am using the aluminum max wedge style shaft hold downs on my victor heads (after milling off the original stands), so that is why my rocker hold down studs would be longer than if using the standard HS hold downs.

some of the 5 studs are longer if you want to stud all 5 holdowns but my heads only use 2 studs,3 bolts

I used 3.5" studs with 1" of thread on each end. They came from McMaster-Carr.
