A lot of great pics and info here, thanks for sharing.

Might have missed, but what is the story on finding the car, and how it ended up this way?

Rick.

Rick, I found it in Hemmings Sept 2008...the second owner had it listed..after talking to the original owner I purchased the car sight unseen and had it enclosed shipped to my location....Dave

Is this never-ending thread in anticipation of this car's impending sale?

I just skimmed the article, but I think it said the hood treatment was added? yet it shows on your window sticker. Was there a different hood treatment in 72 for 340 vs twister?

Beautiful car

It looks like someone took off the idle solenoid. Does this use the 71 style solenoid or the one that goes on the carb itself on the front passenger side?

Steve I had removed the idle stop solenoid in the picture you are referring to in order to free up the brass plunger which always stuck even when these cars were new....It now functions as new. As you can see in 72 they were mounted to the intake via one bolt & a dowel. I believe 71 & 73 were of a slightly different configuration. Dave

I had the tires laying around so I decided to put them to use....the stance is perfect with the rallies and polyglas so I'm about as far as I am willing to go on this particular car.........
