I'm in the process of refinishing the shaker assembly for my 1971 Cuda and I have some questions about the finish of the cold air door assembly and scoop inserts.
1. Is the cold air door assembly left natural, should it be plated or painted ?
2. Are the scoop inserts Organisol black like the bubble or should it be more like a smooth low gloss trim black finish ?

I finished the base in a 80% gloss black, added a new seal and DMT newly released warm air door seal.
Thanks for any guidance and assistance.

Fram who manufactured the doors painted them black enamel right over the bare metal.
The scoop inserts left their vendor in a flat to low gloss finish, wrapped in tissue, boxed and shipped to Fram.

Let's see if my pics help. I tore my 71 Challenger shaker apart last year and it's original (I bought in 72). I cleaned the parts up with a mild detergent.

Thanks Mccannix and 71vert340,
Those pictures were a great help, looks like I have some more painting to do on the cold Air door assembly.
