is any of the nylon braided hose even legal in NHRA? i haven't found any yet that says it is. i'mnot a fan of the socketless hose either. isn't that just a PVC hose? is it legal for NHRA?

i had some black nylon hose for tranny lines and got too close to the header and melted a hole in it. i still like the steel line all though the nylon is much lighter

Sounds like you need to keep up with the times. NHRA has allowed various types of hoses for a long time. Part numbers are listed in the rule book.
not sure who your referring to but i was told by russell that their nylon braided hose was not NHRA approved. i got a similar response from Earls. i know some of the steel braided line IS approved though. the nylon braided hose is very popular because of its lightweight and ease of assemble.
