Who here knows of a high flow air filter element for the inline carb 68' Hemi air cleaners?
WIX?
R2C performance?
K&N?

I'm not a fan of R2C filters. Seen several dirt racecars run them and have ring and valve guide issues in a short amount of time. K&N website has a tool that you can input dimensions of a filter and it will find what is available. I used it and found out a Polaris 4 wheeler air filter would work on my 290 Lycoming powered airboat.

Were the R2C's the paper element types of the reusable forevers?

I can't say for sure. It was a few years back and I never really paid that much attention just told myself I wasn't going to run that filter

I would see if Wix has a high flow filter that
would fit your set up.. the high flow filter
seems to be soft enough that if its large enough
that you could shape it to fit your housing... just
a thought

18" diameter 2.75" tall. K&N makes one.

Used a K&N on mine, installed 1988 & still there, zero problems.

K&N works fine on my 572.
Just clean it every now and then with spray and oil from K&N .
