We've decided to stay at the track as well. No luxurious Speedway Ramada this year. We'll put an air mattress on the floor of the Motel Pace and call it a bedroom. We have a bbq, microwave and will bring the waffle maker, so figure we're good to go. Now I just have to get the car finished. Re-wiring and plumbing takes FOREVER. Looks like the first hits on the bullet are going to be at MATS.

That's OK Glenn....you'll have a ton of good people at MATS to help and give advice. Plus we all get to see your reaction to the additional 200HP that thing makes I'm really looking forward to this race...mostly because of the people that will be there!! Brian

Well, if my wife isn't coming with due to the child care situation, I may cancel a night or 2 of my hotel reservation and stay at the track to save some $$$. Do they have a problem with tents?
I don't think a tent will be a problem.

Guys, i wish you all a safe trip there and if anything i can try to help you with while being there, feel free to flag me down, i spend most of my time in the staging lanes and on Saturday in the elephant Cage (SS/AH pits) Remember to those that can not make the trip, watch live timing of the drag racing part on www.1320go.comclick on current tracks, go to LVMS and start watching the live timing.

Say it aint so Ted...Hope you can make it. Heck I am still thrashing trying to get my heap ready to go. We are putting the new trans in tomorrow and if it does not rain make it to the track. Kind of running out of time myself as I still have to get the wheelstand calmed down and then try and dial in with a new fuel. We are hoping to be ready to go ourselves.

Joe, can you assist with getting a block of pit spaces in the southwest corner across from the restroom? We'd sure like to be able to all pit together.

My Duster will not be done in time, but I'm going and I believe we are bringing Kevin Berthouds 67 Cuda FB 408 stroker to see if he can better his times from last year.
I hear the Sloan brothers will be there but the new bullit for the black cuda is not done yet so they will be spectating. Is that true Bryan?

In my opinion, if you wanna get a decent picture, mid day is probably a bad time. Alot of people will be in their own pits prepping the car, or in line to race... Seems to me that early or late would be easier to get people rounded up...
11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.
9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

You do have a point.. however to be realistic.. I dont think there is a perfect time. If we schedule it in the morning, then we will miss those that are wrenchin on the car of sleeping off a hangover.
If we do it late in the day, then many people might have already left.. Specially on the Car Show side..
I picked 12 noon because its in the middle of the day and easy to remember.. However if the majority of people prefer a different time, then thats ok by me..

As far as pre-registering it does not matter, yes you will save a few $$, but they will still be happy to take your money at the gate when you arrive.

It looks like it will just be me going without my brother or his car. I will be helping out Bob Mazzolini with his SS/AH HEMI car. If Kevin Berthoud goes, I will help him out as well. This should be very fun. Im looking forward to many peoples cars running including G-Bobs, Mazzolinis Cuda, Chris Costanzas Silver Cuda with the new HEMI and then a few others cars. WIll be fun to hang out and meet a few new people as well. Look for Mazzolinis Yellow Cuda with Blue flames and say hi.
