Never broke a b&m

New parts are not preventive maintenance. Flexplates break because of tire shake or vibration. Best way ti prevent flexplate problems is by checking crank centerline. It's a pita with a stock case due to having to remove pump. But, then you know.

I have 3 cracked B&M round flex plates from about 6 years ago. I switched to the mopar sfi plate. They haven't cracked since.

Mine is an 8 bolt crank. The B&M flexplates used to crack at the converter bolt holes. From the converter bolt holes to the outside. There is more meat from the converter bolt holes to the outside of the flexplate on the mopar SFI flexplate.
