I need 10 open ended acorn lug nuts for my rallye ice drag wheels. Where can I find good quality lug nuts for 3" axle studs? 1/2x20 thread.

The question is confusing because, by definition, an acorn nut is closed-end...closed by the dome.

Gorilla Automotive 70087 - Gorilla Lug Nuts
This is the part number for one style. I believe there are 10 options. They come in packs of 4.

Just get some good acorn lug nuts and tighten them down with a deep well, the ends pop right off. Boom open end lug nuts without going nuts.

Mopar to the bone!!!

So does Mopar use a 45° or 60° taper?

go to les schwab buy the shape of chrome lug nut you need then take home and crush the end off in a vise / the cap portion. works great! been that way on my car for many years including going 9s.

Get the large diameter circle track lug nuts from speedway or summit I would not trust standard size I have seen them pull through a steel rim at the ice drags...........

i'm not 100% sure, but i believe the circle track nuts are a 45* taper, while the factory nuts are 60*. with that being said, i have, on numerous occasions, used the circle track nuts without any problems what so ever on factory steel wheels. no nut or seat damage, and no loosening occurring over several thousands of miles. i always use just a tic of anti-seize on the stud threads. many do not like this practice, but i have never had galled stud threads or loosening of nuts in years and years of doing this.
