Thank you and I read that before dam I must be getting old or something. What about a converter I would think that it should be tight as you wouldn't want it to flash coming out of the turn. Also with a 1.57 second gear installed with a 3.73 gear and 25.5 dig. tire that is 77 MPH at 6k. The perfect setup gets you to 62 - 65 MPH in second. A 1.92 second gets you there like a 18 spline 4 speed. I guess with over 625 HP and 580 TQ. I may not worry about pulling a 1.57 second gear.

Just be sure the torque comes in at a lower rpm, maybe by advancing the cam 3 degrees or so, and you won't have anything to worry about and won't have to buzz the engine.

What about running an 727 or a 518 or so with a 650Hp Big Block in Autocross? A stock 318 is enough to get the novice driver in over thier heads fairly easy, just sayin, before you quickly discover putting down 650hp with a big block is rather difficult, but driving it like a go kart (left foot braking) is fun.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I have been running a Porsche 911 in super street for years now. I have been looking to upgrade to a 997 GTS or a 997 GT3 but they just let the 991 GT3 in the class. I also looked at a 08 Boxster RS60 Spyder for BS or taking my car to ASP with Hoosiers, but this is my daily driver and that would take mt 911 out of daily use with camber plates high spring rates and -3.5 deg of camber. Plus I need a trailer. This project has been stalled since I started racing the Porsche's. Hell I bought the engine parts in 06 with the Wilwoods so I just want my big block power back. Anyway here in Colorado I will be only at around 550 Hp. The last 10 years is the first time I haven't had a built big block since the late 70's. Buy the way I'm a SCCA SOLO safety steward so I'm not a novice. I'm just looking to finish a long over do project car and have a blast driver to the limit OK and past the limit and to kill a few more cones. This is what I have been running from a few years ago at a Match Tour.

I always love the Mark Donahue paint jobs that they had. I lived in Kenosha in 70. My first car was a 71 Javelin that I got from my Dad in 73.

You will probably want to have a custom converter done with that type of usage in mind. Thats what I did for my car as auto cross is one of the main things I have planned for it plus some trips to the drags. I had mine done by Continental. Gave them the engine dyno sheet, specs, car weight, gearing, tire size, trans specs, useage etc.

Yep custom converter I was talking with SMR yesterday on a 727 and converter for what I'm doing. It needs to live with 700 HP encase I change the cam for more power but I'm going to see how this motor does first.I was looking at Passon 5 speed but that is a year out and $5200. I could also go with Passon 4 speed overdrive with a 1.77 second or just buy a 18 spine 4 speed with a 1.92 second. I'm just looking at my options. I will be running 2 set of wheels 1 for racing and 1 for street driving. The race tires will be BFGoodrich Rival S 275 X 35 x 18 Fr and 315 x 30 x 18 rear. That is a 25.5 tall tire and I want to be around 65 mph in second. I'm also shooting for around 3400 to 3500 lbs car but that is a long shot.

I've thought about starting up again, but couldn't afford to, then 2 years ago bought a new boat, so still can't afford to. Haven't even driven either car for 2 years.
