I'm sure I've seen some without, and wouldn't they all be coded A62 on fender tag if they were? And have 3 speed wipers?

I've seen a lot of them with standard dashes. All I can figure is a typically younger buyer (and less affluent) than other 'Cuda buyers???

Rally dash was optional on cudas yet standard on Challenger R/Ts.
I've always wondered why that was.
Challenger T/As were not R/Ts so rally dashes were optional on them also.
AARs and T/As usually didn't get built with many options, so it is common to see them without rally dashes.

Standard cluster came with 2-speed wiper motor & manual foot pump washer.

3 speed wiper motor with variable wipers & electric washer optional with the standard cluster.

A62 included the variable wiper motor with electric washer.

The Dodge line was higher priced than the Plymouth line, so more goodies as standard equipment.

All true--yet time has treated the 'Cuda favorably vis-a-vis the Challenger!

Ma did a lot of things that made little sense.

Hemi Challenger: rallye guages standard, shaker optional
Hemi Cuda: shaker standard, rallye guages optional

You can also ask why Challengers are two inches longer than a Cuda. Dodge and Plymouth were really two different companies back in the 60s and 70s.

Dodge was higher priced line. More luxurious cars. Cougar vs a Mustang.

Higher line, more luxurious, longer wheelbase with better ride. Most Dodges where longer and often wider than Plymouth versions (A, B, and C bodies)

Shaker is a sportier younger go fast type item. That's a Plymouth target buyer.

The standard -vs- optional inconsistencies continued with the 1972 E-body model

72 Cuda standard engine was 340
72 Challenger Rallye standard engine 318 2-bbl the 340 was Optional

Though even with the 318 engine the rallye came standard with dual scooped hood, rallye gauges, sway bars & more

strange because the Rallye replaced the R/T in the 1972 Challenger line-up as the performance model and there was a base model Challenger

I was under the impression that AARs & T/As were not ordered/ optioned by customers, and that one just had to pick what the dealers were sent. Is this correct?

The Shaker was an option except the Hemi Cuda for four barrel E Bodies. Why did DODGE offer another performance hood that was not offered on a Plymouth, a TA Hood on a Challenger for almost a year Starting in the spring of 1970 and ending in the fall of 1971.

I think it is awesome myself, the consoles look really cheap to me.

Extra bonus if the car also has the extra cost bench seat.

70 'Cudas (AARS too) got road lamps as standard equipment.
