Anyone ever run an Offy Six Pack intake on a big block?

Any good? Better than Eddy?

Is the carb spacing, and intake height, the same as stock Six Pack intake manifold?

Are you talking about a real early 1950s/1960 era three two barrel intake or did they make a later one that will mount Holley 2300 type two barrel carbs on ? can you show us a picture? that will help sped things up a bunch thumbs

large base Rochester 2GC carbs, B engine no RB.

My opinion of Offy stuff is that it was great, 40 years ago.

Today? Nostalgia.

Was it a single plane with a plenum divider like the Offy 360 intake?
What I remember about the early GM tri power carbs. was they where pretty small flowing carbs. confused

Looks like a dual plane to me pic found on internet, not my manifold.

That looks like the stock Eddy intake for Holley carbs. not for the GM Rochester two barrel small bolt pattern confused

Anyway, I have one NOS, was wondering if it was worth running? If not will probably sell it here on Moparts if anyone is interested...

I have one like in the pic Supercuda posted above...Thought I had a pic but can't seem to find it... work
No real world experience with it as I haven't installed it on anything. I know you do need to get the Rochester 2 jets that are set up to be ran as 3 deuce carbs. The fuel inlets on the tops of the typical 2 jets is different and they will not fit together inline. I have the intake and carbs in a tote out in the shop. If you need pics I can get some...
The pics below show the difference in the 2 styles of carbs... the 3 deuce one exits out the side...

The early (pre 1962) GM Rochester 2GC Tri power carbs. where smaller CFM than the later ones is what I was told back in the day scope
That intake being a 180 degree single plane with a plenum divider might not work well, maybe it would confused shruggy

It looks like the same design philosophy as my Weiand 7503 4-barrel Poly intake. As said above, it's a single plane with a divider down the middle. It's a lot easier to cast than a dual plane intake.

I was probably still in college when the last competitive Offy intake was introduced. They are nowadays strictly nostalgia.

Rochester 2-barrel carbs are easy to find. They have two different bases. The larger bases are preferable as they have the same interior dimensions as a 500 Holley, but GM rated them 435 cfm. That's equivalent to 308 cfm in a four barrel.

The smaller base max carb size would be 390 cfm, as a four barrel it would be 275cfm.

The 1965 and earlier Pontiac 389s and smaller used a smaller center carb and two larger outboard carbs. The 1966 used three big base carbs, and gained power.

IMHO the best place for this particular intake would be in a cruiser or street rod. An Edelbrock Perf RPM and suitable carb would probably be 50hp above this one.
As this intake is low rise it may fit under a hood better, another thought.

To OP: Clean it up, take really good pictures and put it on Ebay. It may take a while to sell, but there is a buyer out there for that intake.

R.
