HELP decipher a fender tag!! #220754

A friend of mine is neeeding help deciphering his fender tag. He just bought a '69 RR. Part of it I know, not much though. I do have a copy of the broadcast sheet if that helps as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Here is the breakdown of the tag:

05125 246287 9A246139
925 591 603

1X 7X N96 C16
A4 A4 M6X X9
RM23 E63 D21 324 17XXXX

do you know the part that says it's a 1969 ROAD RUNNER , not a GTX ???

It's a 4 speed post car, A4 silver with black vinyl top and black side stripe, black bucket interior with console, air grabber, orange 383/335hp engine, 3.55 SG rear axle with 10" drums, which indicates A36 axle package and power disc brakes up front.

A very sweet runner!!!

didnt all disc brake cars have 10" drums in back?

They are administrative (VIN, VON, SPD,) part number, assembly, sales (Y codes) or color and trim codes used in the production of the car. What you listed, the A-W codes, are sales codes.

Interesting, yes. Also, the top row or so from the fender tag is what I figured for the administrative stuff but wasn't for sure. Not real good at pre '70 stuff.
