Look for a metal bracket welded between the bench seat & the shifter under the carpet. What is the bracket for?

To stop the seat from sliding into the shifter or by accident.
Common in manual trans / bench seat cars. Thanks

My 69 Bucket seat Dart GTS has that under the carpet .

My 69 Bucket seat Dart GTS has that under the carpet . That is why I said Common in manual trans / bench seat cars. They have been found in bucket seat cars too.

My bucket seat A-Body 4-speed had one, but I removed it to save weight. Thats just too funny, I dont care who you are!!
416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out. 11.06 open headers----so far!!
