Anyone know of any precautions to take when media blasting the manual steering box of a 70 Cuda? TIA

If I'm not mistaken that box is aluminum, so, you shouldn't media blast it. It changes the texture and appearance of the metal, and oil and grease get into the pores and stain it much easer. Try to find some to vapor blast it or Co2 blast it.

Other than what's mentioned above you shouldn't have any issues blasting it. Don't spend too much time in the seal areas though just to be safe. Also keep in mind that the stock top cover bolts are black oxide and blasting will remove that finish.

turn the pressure down low and use glass beads IMO.
