Mancini minitub and spring relocation kits installed in 66 Coronet. Outer wheel lip given a haircut as well. What is a good backspacing, tire and rim size? Will be doing a lot of street driving cross country so need to allow for side play if any. I know that data is on here somewhere, still trolling. Thanks

No data for you, but a fyi if you order your rims through summit, a lot of the popular ones can be ordered with a custom backspacing if you call in.

Stock width axle?

Just throw something on there are measure how much room is left over. Asking the next person will only get you in the ball park.

You can run the outer sidewall close to the fender. The tire does not move outward alot. Only suspension compression will limit you there. The inside clearance needs to be generous, when the rear axle articulates it will need room to come towards the center.

Yes, stock width Dana with spring perch moved in for the spring relocation kit. We are hanging the axle tonight and I will use my stock 14 inch rim to get good measurements. THEN order the rims/tires. Seems to have 14 inch clearance even at the inner bump.
Will I need a shorter shock since the mounts are closer to center? Thanks

I moved my springs into the sub frames with the outside edge of the box welded into the outside edge of the sub frames, I didn't center them in the rear sub frames like the Mopar instructions call for due to wanting as much room as I could get work I ended up having to bend the gas tank rear flanges on both sides and dent the back edge of the passenger side to clear the rear shackle at max suspension extension to clear the new Mopar XHD road handling leaf springs shruggy The new Gabriel stock gas replacement rear shocks fit fine except at max extension shruggy Mine is a 4 speed car now with a NP833 O.D. tranny so I won't be beating on the car much from a dead stop, so, hopefully, that won't be a problem on the shock lengths luck I moved my front tire lip forward five inches(stretched the wheel well opening also) and moved the rear end forward two inches with the new leaf springs work

OK for future inquiry, you can get a 325/50R15 Drag Radial on the car but it will require a custom 7 inch back spacing. The tire is 28 tall with a 12 inch footprint. Stock length Dana with Mancini spring relocation and 3 inch mini tub kit. Thanks
