I have a flat hood on a high 11 sec car
Is adding a scoop and air pan a worthwhile upgrade?

Good runs by the way, and EVERY car can benefit from a PROPERLY set up scoop............

X2 - cold air is always valuable, the incoming velocity is far less important.

Yes yes yes! The better the seal, the better the car improves.

My IAT (measured inside the throttle bore) went from ambient to ambient +5 with a scoop, to 130F+ without. Never ran at the track like that, just sealed off the scoop and changed filter when caught in heavy rain.

cooler air is more dense, although avoiding turbulence at the carb inlet is important.

Don I think you'd drop a tenth and a half with an AAR six-pak scoop sealed to the carb.
