I just got an oweee on my truck box. I think it's going to be about a 12" circular repair. Other than lacquer primer surfacer, is there a quality aerosol primer for BC/CC that I can use rather than loading up my touch up gun?

I used RustoLeum auto primer when I removed the decals off of my car. Some of the decals ripped the paint. I shot Centari acrylic enamel over it and it turned out great.

There are 2k high build and epoxy primers in an aerosol can but there's a window of use after you activate the can{4 day average}..There's a secondary button that mixes the hardner with the primer...Here's an example... Maxx 2K primer

Pick up a $8.00 Preval sprayer from the local hardware store and spray any automotive primer you want.

I've used SEM's stuff several times for quick repairs under stuff(BC/CC and SS Urethane). Never had a problem. $20 a can roughly though.

Thanks for the replies. I've never seen a Preval sprayer before. Interesting.

has preval upgraded the spray nozzle to a better design than the original rattle can version ? that was the only gripe i have with that setup. i haven't used mine in years because of that. my preval is one of the originals bought when they first came out. a better nozzle would make me use it again.
