Gray's Automotive in McMinnville does a lot of Mopar work. They've been building engines for me for 20+ years. About an hour's drive from Silverton so not too bad.

If you need any parts just shoot me a note. I have tons of big block stuff.

Virgil might not appreciate me advertising his business but..... Virgil Hanson Auto Machine in Albany, at the Hwy 20 interchange.541-926-5742.
Actually, Virgil is up to his eyeballs these days but that is simply due to the quality of his work. None of us are getting younger and some of us are slowing down so if you need it yesterday then he might not be a good fit.

Southward in Eugene (541-431-0556) they have BB Mopar torque plates for the final honing and Sommers (360-699-5205) in Vancouver, not sure if they have BB Mopar torque plate yet confused I've always taken mine to them when I had them do my work.
Southward does a lot of HD industrial engines and they have a lot of machines that the smaller shop don't have so they do a lot of other shops machining for them work Neil is there salesman and he pickups and delivers all over the state. Talk to Don, Randy or Carl up shruggy

Wayfarer, I had a recommendation recently for Virgil's shop on my poly 318. The recommendation was that he knows the older hemis and Poly engines very well and that he does a large variety of race application builds.

I can also underscore Gray's Automotive per AndyF. My brothers and I have been taking block and head work to them for close to 50 years. They were in Newberg in the 60s and early 70's, then to Tigard for years and now McMinnville.

To dovetail into this thread, what cylinder head specialist-shops have you all used or know about in the Portland area? I have heard that Rick's Cylinder Heads in Milwaukie is good. I heard their service and prices are very good with the ability to do stock rebuilds up to an including serious performance work.

Hatch Engine Inc. 12292 Hatch Lane SE Aumsville, OR 97325 503.769.7188 These guys are just outside of the Stayton area. They do some of the best work in the valley. Everett Hatch was an old drag racer. He passed a few years back, but the boys still build excellent engines.

I forgot about Hatch.

That's a good ways south of PDX though.

He said he moved to Silverton. That's only 15-20 minutes away.
