I wanted to say thanks to Dominic (aka ThumperDart) for handling a small job I asked about recently. I have a number of billet metering blocks for my various carbs and wanted the IFR locations lowered per some solid info I read on Mark Whitener's web site. Even though it shouldn't be a big deal to do this type of mod, I simply didn't want to botch things up if I wasn't careful, and figured Dominic had done plenty of these mods since he started Thumper Carbs and that it would be a no-brainer for him.

So, I sent him 5 sets of billet metering blocks of various brands & configurations. After we talked extensively about exactly what I was working with, he returned all my blocks w/ the IFRs relocated, the two sets that originally had non-adjustable PVCR channels were modified to accept replaceable PVCR restrictions, and a bunch of pre-drilled & sorted packs of IFRs jets in the various sizes we talked about that should cover the range I'd need for my application.

The job looks very nicely done, and it's clear from my conversations w/ Dominic that he really wants to do quality work and build a happy (and growing) customer base. I'll post some pics in the next day or two when I get a chance.

grin

Dominic talked me through my carbs. Great guy to deal with. Got me on the right track as far as what parts I needed, how to modify them, and even gave me a starting tune. He's not one to "Hide trade secrets" and has always been helpful beyond your normal tech support.

Yes. And some days I'm very composed and careful when I wrench on my stuff.

And other days, I'm a bit less... patient. And what starts out as wrench degrades to hammer , which then leads to sawzall , which ends up with me like mad & shout , causing everyone in my family to want to move to another county temporarily(?).

So, in this case, I was happier to let you handle the job for me, Good Sir. wink
