I have seen re-manufactured units with a vent and was wondering if there would be any harm done if the vent was removed and an original fill bolt was installed. The reproductions and re-manufactured boxes I have seen have a fill bolt with a vent. I am not able to post a picture of it, but if you look on ebay under "New 1966-1979 Mopar Manual Steering Box", you can see the images in the description, the fill bolt has a vent hole in it. I was looking to replace my old steering box with a new one and was wondering if it would make any difference if I replaced the vented fill bolt with the one from my original box.
