I'm looking to have the front valence repainted on my '72 Plymouth Fury which is an all original car. It's still showing it's original L4 code (Sahara Beige) paint all throughout as well. I've searched the web and am trying to find resources who can mix the paint color for me as a single stage acrylic enamel like originally used on the car. Local body shops say they can paint the color if I can find a single stage enamel, otherwise they will have to use modern urethanes which won't match the rest of the car as well. I found a place online called "Paintscratch.com" and they show all of the Mopar colors for 1972 and can get the L4 code mixed by them as a single stage formula. Before I give them a try, are there any other sources out there worth checking into? Thanks

Magnum auto restoration painted my car in single stage, which they do with all non-metallic color cars they restore, IIRC. You might drop Mark there a line and see if he will share with you who his supplier is for the single stage he uses. Or even talk to him about painting your valence for you since they are here in ILL.
Check out my car show and cruise photo albums here: Show PicsSeeking info on a Mr Norms sold T/A VIN JH23J0B308737. Does it still exist?

PPG Delstar and DuPont Centari are both single-stage acrylic enamels. Might not be available everywhere due to VOC limits.
