I bought a 1981 Dodge stepside, slant 6 4 speed....
I have a built 1991 360 in a 1973 Dodge motorhome, I'm toying with the idea of tossing the 360 in the truck. The motorhome has full length headers for a C class motorhome (van).
What are the chances of the motorhome (van) headers fitting in the truck? I wouldn't mind pulling the slant 6 and tossing in the V8.....

Probably a nogo. According to Summit the Hedman part # for the van is 79030 and for the pickup it's 79080. That being said, it doesn't cost anything to try if your already in there...

There are other examples of headers fitting when the manufacturer says they won't. Like some say they won't work with power steering or column shift but the do. I'd think they'd be close and worth a shot.

I'm betting the van front crossmember is not in the same location as the truck front crossmember. I'd be surprised if the van headers fit in the truck, but like stated before, you already have them, what have you got to loose? They might be workable. Gene

might look at the hedman 79170 as well as the hedman 79080

I have used both on my 85 truck

79080 is for the 2x chassis and will not clear the hydro bell of a 93 NV4500 or the front diff/shaft on a 4x4 best 2x street truck header. can R&R starter with out removing header. IMHO.

I found the 79170 for the 2x and 4x4 truck up to a 93 and clears the NV4500 bell by moving the #7 tube to allow only a mini starter to fit & R&R starter with out removing header. the pass side has the tubes moved for the diff/shaft.

I have a pic of both I can post later for a looky see and shape.

if we can find a pic of the 79030 that was referenced, it may match up or can see the difference in shape.

I think it is close to 79170 in shape myself.

can you post a pic of the header you have to ID what brand?

looking at the 3 sets I would wager the 79170 may even work out better with the #1 tube and # 7 tube moved.

I have both sets and while the 79080 fit very well the #1 tube is close to the frame/brake line and #7 tube gives less room to R&R the starter.

79170 #1 & #7 tubes make it a breeze to R&R starter. pass side has the tubes moved for diff/shaft but in a 2x chassis a plus is you can R&R the oil filter without it dumping oil on the tubes.

I did nothing but remove starter and oil filter and slide both in from bottom without jacking the engine up. only raised truck up a little.
