I have a 2000 Durango with a 360. I had it running yesterday, checking fluids and what-not. The truck started from cold (about 30*) and ran for about 5 minutes then just died like someone turned off the key. I can't get it to start, got spark and 50lbs of fuel pressure while cranking. Compression is 130 or so.
One thing I did notice was, when checking spark the plugs had an orange spark rather than the normal blue (weak?).
I ran the scanner and it has no codes logged.


WHY??? Won't it start???

If the spark is not a nice "snapping" type, I'd suspect coil, as often as those fail lately. Just a thought.

Do the plugs look wet? If not, spray a little starting fluid down the throat and see if it'll fire.

Plugs look fine. Tried some ether just to see if it was a fuel problem, nothing.
Can a coil get weak? I always thought they worked or didn't??? Could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time and gaurateed wouldn't be the last.
I was leaning toward PCM due to no fault codes...
