Has anyone used the b-body vent window frames from Tony's Parts? I was curious if anyone has tried them and can comment on quality and fit.

great fit, finish plus great service! We bought a set from him through Classic then bought another set through classic but just the vent bars not the vent window channels. Those sucked! Turned out the 2 piece set was not Tony's but was PG Classics. Tony ended up making me a heck of a deal to get the one side that was needed badly as he had a customer that needed the other side badly. He worked with me and went OVER and ABOVE the call to help me out when it was not his product that was faulty. We did get credit on the bad PG classic ones from classic. You MUST glue them together though. DO NOT try to peen the stud over like the factory did. It will ruin the bar on the outside. you wont regret his parts!!!!

I have built 2 sets of Tony's vent frames so far. Overall nice parts that assemble easily. I will buy more.

a friend of mine bought them,
he liked them and also had said not to peen over the posts unless you have a jig for it or else it will damage the chrome

i found this on another forum: (and there are pics posted there too)

Okay, the new vwnt window parts came today from Tonys Parts. They are very nicely made quality parts and the chrome is really nice I would reccommend them for sure. They also came with all of the parts , screws and roll pins.

I used panel bonding glue to fasten them to the original freshly polished stainless steel parts."

I spoke with Special T's at the Mopar Nationals and made the comment that I'd rather have my originals redone opposed to buying the new kit the Tony sells. He said that the reproductions are actually spot on. To me, this says a lot about their quality when someone like Special T's is asking in the $1700-$2100 dollar range to restore a set of originals.

Just something to think about.

The problem with replating them is that the contour tends to get ground down to get through the pitting.
