Thought I would update on our 440 inch Ritter block, Victor head Super Street combo. It has 15 dyno pulls and 11 10.90 runs and 1 run off the timers. The engine is showing no problems, the valve train is holding lash, no metal in filter,no leaks, and is running fine. In 10.90 index mode it is running 141 to 143 mph in 3500 to 4000 ft DA at 2820 lbs.On the full pass I short shifted the 1-2 7000rpm and 2-3 7200rpm and forgot to take the timing retard out,we were ramping 6 degrees out above 6500 to help keep time on stop down. It struck the tires about 3ft out out then hooked back up when it started pulling timing and went 1.28 60ft 5.84 @ 116 7.64 @ 1000ft and 9.24 @ 144 at 4044 ft DA.There is some tuning needed to see how fast this thing can run off the timers, and we plan to work on that in a couple of weeks. We have been working more on the 10.90 tune since the first 2 events we are attending are Div. 4 races. We will be at Thunder Valley in Noble Ok.next week 10/6-9th stop by and check it out

Sounds like it is working good. Be interested to see where it ends up on the stop..

The conditions in Shreveport were terrible and this was the first race with new setup. All things considered we think it ran pretty good. The forecast for Noble next week is looking good, highs in mid 70s and no rain. We expect it to run a little better. We run a 3 speed so our 10.90 tune is different than what the PG guys run. This thing is 100+ hp better than the W2 setup we had, that's why we've had to work mainly on the 10.90 part of our program. We believe it will run 8.80s 8.90s and 145 at 10.90 when sorted out. I plan to have a new cam ground and work the intake to put a 4500 base carb on over the winter, this should liven things up.

We'll be trying an Indy intake on our Victor heads...if we ever get a block! I would look into TD rockers when you change the cam...
