I don't know what year you're working on. They had both the hood and tail panel lettering for my 73. I believe 70, and 72-74 hood lettering is the same. 72-74 tail panel letters are the same. You are correct. Make sure you install them in the right places! I saw a '72 at a show over the weekend and the owner had the tail letters on the hood and the hood letters on the tail!

From the little I spoke with the owner of the car, he really had no clue. It was his "dad's" car and he want on about the special race 440 that he bought and put in it. He wanted me to crawl under it to verify the numbers but I politely declined. He asked me a few more questions about the difference between a 383 and 440 which I answered and showed him on his 440. He then said "This is why I hate coming to car shows. Too many people rip apart my car", got in it and left. We didn't rip on his car at all, just answered his questions. I didn't even mention the wrong letters. Whatever, buddy.
