Does anyone repop the DODGE trim lettering that goes on the hood and tail pan?
I heard that there is some hood lettering out there that is not very good.
I have the originals that came off the car but they are not in too good of shape
I could have them replated if it comes down to that.
Thanks.

I bought replacement letters for my 73 from Herb's Parts. They fit nice and seem like good quality pieces. I read some posts about some letters bending easily and pins breaking off during installation. I didn't have any problems.

Does Herbs have the lettering for both the hood and tail?
I also heard about the bending and breaking.

I don't know what year you're working on. They had both the hood and tail panel lettering for my 73. I believe 70, and 72-74 hood lettering is the same. 72-74 tail panel letters are the same.

You are correct. Make sure you install them in the right places! I saw a '72 at a show over the weekend and the owner had the tail letters on the hood and the hood letters on the tail!

That's funny. They are pretty self explanatory. The tail panel letters are a lot thicker and curved to fit.

Check Year One. I got the tail letters from them for my 73. I didn't need hood letters, so I don't know if they have them.

Thanks everyone!
I have a 72. I do understand the difference between the lettering for the hood and tail. That would be funny to see the tail lettering on the hood!
I guess it would make it stand out more!😆

From the little I spoke with the owner of the car, he really had no clue. It was his "dad's" car and he want on about the special race 440 that he bought and put in it. He wanted me to crawl under it to verify the numbers but I politely declined. He asked me a few more questions about the difference between a 383 and 440 which I answered and showed him on his 440. He then said "This is why I hate coming to car shows. Too many people rip apart my car", got in it and left. We didn't rip on his car at all, just answered his questions. I didn't even mention the wrong letters. Whatever, buddy.
